Ghost model or Invisible mannequin is widely used in fashion product photography. With the use of Photoshop or other editing programs, the editor uses two photos of the product to achieve the look of an invisible model. This is done by taking one photo of the product on the mannequin and another photo of the product pinned into a position that allows the photographer to capture the inside of the product. These photos are then edited together in Photoshop where the editor places the image of the inside of the product where it would be seen if the model were to be invisible. This is used by apparel retailers globally for their online e-commerce stores.
